To celebrate the launch of the Cultural Olympiad, Dance in Devon and Darts Farm Village are inviting parents and children to join in free dance activities while learning about food and fitness in a fun and physical way. The Cultural Olympiad is a four year celebration of the cultural and sporting life of the nation, part of the build up to the 2012 Games. The activities offer a unique opportunity for the next 4 years to profile dance as the art form which provides a perfect bridge between sport and the arts.

Now in its sixth year, the Beautiful Days festival brings classic folk, blues, punk and rock styles together into three days of colourful activity. With five stages, family camping, a large children's area, food & craft stalls, real ale bars and extensive site art, the festival has been described as one of the most positive and hassle-free of the year.
Organised by The Levellers, this year's roster of bands includes Squeeze, Supergrass, The Levellers (of course), Alabama 3, Nouvelle Vague, Stiff Little Fingers and Nuala & The Alchemy Quartet. There are dozens more singers and bands, plus comedy (Ross Noble), poetry, clowns, DJs and multi-media. The festival is hosted at Escot Park, Ottery St Mary, and runs 15-17 August.
